Medical Assistant - Diploma (Branford, Southington, Windsor CT; Springfield MA)
Branford Hall's Medical Assisting programs are designed to provide students with a strong foundation in medical terminiology, anatomy and physiology, patient care procedures, pharmacology, medical office procedures, communication skills, as well as computer skills. During their last term, students will serve their externship, which will allow them to apply their training in a professional environment.
Medical Biller / Health Claims Specialist - Diploma (offered at CT and NY campuses)
Medical Billers (Medical Billers and Coders or Health Claims Specialists) are professionals that prepare, submit, and/or process insurance claims for doctor's offices, hospitals, extended care facilities, diagnostic centers, insurance companies, and other health related facilities.
The program prepares students for an entry level position by gaining exposure to terminology, insurance forms, diagnostic and procedural codes, and procedures involved in processing medical insurance claims. Through exposure to medical law, students become familiar with their legal responsibilities as a Medical Biller.
Branford Hall is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. The Medical Assisting program at the Southington CT, Windsor CT, Springfield MA campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. The Medical Assisting program at the Branford campus is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. |
